Our Story
Defender Digital is a military veteran- and military-spouse-owned digital marketing agency based in Augusta, Georgia.
After 10+ moves, and 29,000+ miles logged in service to our country, the founders know what it means to build something solid that can move, adapt, and still deliver results under pressure.
How It Started
Brooks & Lacy Seeger met at college in the Midwest over two decades ago. Years later, their partnership has weathered PCS moves, building successful businesses and the beautiful chaos of raising kids. The products of hard-working & entrepreneurial parents, today they run Defender Digital as a family-first business with local- and remote teams that give everyone the flexibility today’s families need while delivering first-in-class expertise to our clients.
Why We Built This Company
The Seegers have lived the reality that military spouses are often left to start over in their careers at each duty station. They’ve also been through the rigor of building multiple businesses while shuffling the daily priorities of military life.
That’s why Defender Digital prioritizes hiring fellow veterans and military spouses. Our team works largely remote, so team members can keep building their careers no matter where the military sends their family, or where they choose to ‘retire’ from the service. Local team members meet for coffee occasionally, but the focus is always on flexibility, efficiency, and getting great work done without unnecessary windshield time.
Before launching Defender Digital, the Seegers owned and scaled a digital project management marketing agency to seven-figure revenue and successfully sold in 2022.
Between the two, they bring more than 25 years of custom development and technical systems expertise plus nearly 30 years of sharp sales and marketing leadership across the team. That blend of disciplined execution and real-world strategy is what powers the marketing plans we build for our clients today.
What Drives Us
At Defender Digital, we don’t just talk about values, we act on them. We donate 2% of every month’s revenue to charities that support military families and local communities in Augusta and beyond. It’s our way of giving back to the people and places that have shaped us.
